Experience across therapy and organisations

Alongside my private practice, I work as a trainer and facilitator within counselling and psychotherapy education, including experiential training exploring sexualities, genders and intersectionality.

My training experience also extends beyond the therapy profession. I have developed and delivered workshops for organisational audiences on themes including LGBTQ+ mental health and dispelling myths around counselling and psychotherapy, with previous workshop audiences including colleagues at Disney, Industrial Light & Magic and Essence.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent 15 years working in corporate environments. That background gives me first-hand experience of organisational cultures and helps me translate psychological ideas into language that is relevant and accessible outside the therapy room.

An engaged, reflective approach

My workshops combine theory, reflective discussion and experiential exercises, with opportunities to connect ideas to participants’ own professional practice and experience. I aim to create learning spaces that are thoughtful and appropriately challenging, while allowing room for uncertainty, curiosity and different perspectives.

Working across difference

Rather than approaching diversity and inclusion as a set of rules or correct answers, I am interested in creating thoughtful conversations about our assumptions, responses and the dynamics that can emerge when we encounter difference. For clinical audiences, this can include particular attention to what happens within the therapeutic relationship.

Formats shaped around your group

Training can be delivered online or in person and developed around an existing topic or in response to the needs of a particular group or organisation.

This might include a standalone workshop, CPD session, facilitated discussion, guest teaching or a longer experiential learning session. I am also happy to discuss talks and other formats where these would better suit the audience.

Discuss a training brief

If you’re considering a workshop, CPD session or facilitated learning for your organisation or group, you’re welcome to get in touch. Tell me a little about the audience, aims and format you’re considering and we can explore what might work.
